16 Direct captured Tonex Presets of a 1985 2203 Marshall JCM 800 with a 2008 Rack Systemes (Dave

Friedman) BE Mod that added a Gain Trim-Pot and Depth control. The amp uses JJ E34L Power

Tubes, Vintage Groove Tube Tungsram 7025 Preamp tubes, and a Matched phase inverter tube.

This is a great amp for that classic Rock/Hard Rock sound of the early '80s. At its cleanest setting, it gets a great AC/DC-ish Crunch Rhythm tone. At the Hi-Gain settings you start getting those great Hard Rock tones the JCM 800 is legendary for.

There are Tonex Presets with and without the mod engaged, although most will have some Depth dialed in as it helps to tighten the bottom end. As the BE gets turned up it adds compression, more gain, and more bottom/lower mids. All of the Tonex Profiles were made with the use of a Fryette Power Station Reactive Load and a Tonex Capture interface.

There are 3 Tonex Presets with some external pedals used as boosts mainly. They are a vintage TS808, a prototype Majik Box Jake E Lee Body Blow Pedal, and a Majik Box Fuzz Universe that was made with Paul Gilbert. It’s not a Fuzz, that’s just what Paul calls dirt boxes apparently.

* You need IK Multimedia's ToneX software or pedal to be able to play these captures!
